So now I present to you: 2011 in Review!
I celebrated my 22nd birthday January 4, 2011 with dinner at Sundance with Nic and then cake and ice cream with close friends. Little did I know at the time we would be eating at the same place 11 months later the night Nic proposed!
My best friend from Jersey, Kristin Pagnani, came for a visit!
Nic and I were obsessed with Jimmermania! Nic got us some great seats for the San Diego State game.
I graduated from Brigham Young University. Four years went by SO fast!
We had a really fun summer. With trips to Vegas, Jersey, New York, Philadelphia, and Nashville!
Nic turned 32 on August 11th! This was the second birthday I got to spend with my sweetie. We went to dinner with family and friends, went bowling at Jupiter Bowl, and I got him some Taylor Made irons!
I got a new niece! Dylan Lea Pherribo Christensen was born September 4, 2011. After a pneumonia scare we were so happy to have her at home and healthy. Now she is the sweetest, chubbiest, little girl in the world! I love her!
Fall came shortly after; it felt really weird to me to not be going back to school!
I got a new nephew! Jordan Cole Clinkscale was born on November 12, 2011. He is my first nephew so far and I can't wait to spoil him with cute little boy clothes!
Then came Thanksgiving! We had TWO dinners! One at Sundance and then another at Tai's house. Both were amazing! We were sooo ridiculously stuffed.
The most exciting event of 2011 for me was when Nic proposed!!! The whole process was amazing. Ring shopping was incredible, the anticipation drove me crazy but was fun at the same time, then the actual proposal was perfect. It was romantic, special, private, and personal. Nic did an awesome job and I was actually somewhat surprised when he did it! (I usually ruin all of my surprises so this was a huge accomplishment) It was such a perfect night and the excitement and fun has not stopped since (other than the occasional freak-out due to planning the reception). Proposal story to follow in a later post!
Then Christmas came! Although Christmas for me was totally over-shadowed by our engagement it was still very special. We went to church with Nic's parents and opened presents there. Then we headed to my sister Tai's house where we had an AMAZING dinner and opened more presents with my parents, Tai, Adam, and their kids. It was a busy, but fun, day.
We are so excited for 2012! Lots of exciting things will be happening; namely our wedding on April 14th!!!
I wish you all a happy, prosperous, and healthy New Year!
